Meet Tim – Owner/Head Trainer
When we take the time to give our dogs the direction they crave, we become relevant in their lives.
Just as children learn right from wrong through guidance and example, dogs also look to us for direction. Their mothers start teaching them early, and once they join our families, it’s our responsibility to show them how to behave in our homes.
My goal is to teach my clients how to be good and fair leaders. Often times I see owners frustrated by their dog’s behavior, the reality is that the dog may not know any other way, and have never been shown what the acceptable behavior is.
This is what training is all about, leadership, structure, boundaries, and of course, LOVE!
McKayla – Dog Trainer & Former Military Working Dog Handler
Ever since I can remember, I have had a deep love for animals. Dogs have been a part of my family since day one, and I am now the proud dog mama of two Pit Bull mixes, Thor and Ebony.
Thor came into my life in 2018 while I was completing my psychology degree at the University of Virginia. After two years in a shelter, he struggled with leash reactivity and separation anxiety. Balanced training transformed our relationship—building his confidence, easing his anxiety, and showing me the power of this approach.
Since then, I’ve helped countless dogs and families experience the same transformation. Now, helping people find more balance in their lives with their dogs has become my passion!
